Floating lantern event

 

This past Sunday I went to North Hawaii Hospice's  floating lantern ceremony. It was a really wonderful event. It was quite moving to be with so many people who are also missing someone.

If you ever have the occasion to go to a Lantern event, I highly recommend it.

(P.S. The lanterns are not allowed to go fully out to sea and are collected and reused for future events. Lest you are concerned it is a mass littering event!)
