One of my all time favorite #StuffMyGirlSays is in memories today:

"You're not a person! You're a mommy."

I mused on this line a lot over the years. I LOVED being a mommy! It always ranked higher than being a person for me. 🙂

Just recently Jess started getting curious about my life BEFORE her. She even googled me and found old blog posts about things I did before meeting Rob. She was fascinated to learn that I have a great fondness for Ben Franklin and that I had Eurailed, by myself, around Europe in my 20s. It was as if she really hadn't considered that these things about me "before her" even existed; and we were tiptoeing towards our new relationship. The one in which I may even have been a person!

I will be forever sad not to have had the chance to live that part of our life too.
