Aclause All Around
Perfect #StuffMyGirlSays moment in the memories today:
"Thank you for the aclause." Don’t you mean applause? "No, I know it’s aclause, like Santa—very happy." Much clapping and laughter followed...
So much "aclause" is needed for the most wonderful Celebration of Life for my girl. I’m deeply moved, to tears, by how many people—many I’ve never even met—came together to create such a beautiful event.
The amazing Parker School staff handled everything with care: raising the tent, setting up chairs, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. So many thoughtful people baked pies and cakes, enough for every one of our nearly 400 guests to have seconds!
They also arranged a Zoom call for those who couldn’t attend in person, designed and printed a stunning program, and decorated everything so beautifully.
It was a picture-perfect Hawaiʻi day—though not the typical Waimea weather! LOL. Waimea’s weather isn’t exactly known for cooperating with events. Jess must’ve pulled some strings for us to have such a beautiful day.
There’s so much more to share—photos, recordings, and stories— and many more people to thank, but for now, I’m just sitting with gratitude and so much "aclause!"
