Logan

 

When Jess was in preschool she met Logan. Logan was her Sweetie and together they planned their wedding and life together.💖 Here is the full story.

Age 3

After packing her suitcase, I asked Jessie where she was going, "To Lake Tahoe with Logan." (Running away with a boy at three LOL)

Age 4

Dad hands Jessie her allowance with a "Don't spend it all in one place." to which she replied, "I'm saving it for an American Girl Doll or to buy a house with Logan."

It should be noted that Connie, Logan's mom, reported, "Logan is at $11 right now, but says he will stop buying Skylanders and start saving for the house."

J just told me she would "like Logan to be my Sweetie... but I haven't seen him in SOOO long!"  Connie, shall we make a playdate?

Daddy asks, "How was your playdate with Logan? Did you play sweeties? Indignantly the girl replies, "We don't have to play sweeties we ARE sweeties!"

Connie! We came across this song on our drive today and Jessie said, "Oh, this song reminds me of Logan!"

Age 5 

#StuffMyGirlSays "If I marry a girl it will probably be Lillian. If I marry a boy it will be Logan. If I marry both it will probably be Logan and Izzy." 

Age 6

The Wedding! They planned the whole thing! It happened after school. Jess had her wedding dress and Logan wore "his nice shirt." They had rice cakes with frosting and sprinkles for their cake. Some of the boys said it didn’t count because Logan didn’t kiss her. Then he went over and did kiss her and everyone squealed and ran around. "I can't believe you kissed a girl!"

Several months later, Jessie was showing her Kindergarten yearbook to her new friend. She gets to the page about Logan "This is my sweetie." 

May says,"What is a Sweetie?"

J, "He's my sweetie, we're married."

M, "You're too young to be married" 

J tells her about her wedding. M can not believe it. "He even kissed you?!!" Says it can't be a real wedding. J spends the rest of the day asking what the difference between a "real wedding" and her wedding could be. I am at a loss for words... She remains resolute, "It was a real wedding. I'm never marrying again. I'll be moving out soon and Logan and I are getting a cat."

So far so good, she plans to "stay at my house for the rest of this year and next year"and then she will be moving to Connie's house with Logan. 

 

Regarding the "infinity kids" Jessie had planned to have, "I'm not having that many any more. " 

Me, "Why?"

Age 7

"Logan and I aren't married. We never said  "I do."

He wasn't my True Love.  He was my "At The Time Love." 

Caden might be my True Love if he wants to be. 

We should have a practice wedding so we can see if we like it. We won't say I do unless we're sure.." 

StuffIOverheardMyGirlSay, regarding Logan to a friend, "I had to break up with him. We didn't have a real relationship."
