As always, my amazing girl had a way of saying the perfect thing. For those who haven’t heard, Jessica was in a car accident yesterday, and she did not survive. Three of her friends are still in the hospital, and they are expected to recover. Please send your prayers to their families, as the road ahead will be long for them.

Keep all of Jessica's wonderful friends close in your hearts. They are just as heartbroken as we are, but the love and care they show for each other will help them navigate this. Watching them grow and support one another is such a joy.

I told Rob yesterday that even if I knew it would end this horrific way, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Being Jess's mom has been my greatest blessing.

I wasn’t sure when I’d be ready to share this, but I realize the news is beginning to leak out, and I wanted to be the one to share it with you. We are shattered, but your love, prayers, and support have been a great comfort to us already.

Jessica filled our lives with so much love and light. While her time with us was far too brief, I will always be grateful for the gift of being her mom. Thank you for keeping all of us, and everyone who loved her, in your hearts.
